I started windsurfing when I was 9, on a really small lake near my home in Lommel. The reason I loved windsurfing from the first moment was the freedom. But the real passion began when I started planing one my first trip to the grevelingen lake. From then I only wanted to get better and better. I started my first competition in 2008 at the EFPT in Tarifa where I got 4th place and from then it only got better. 2009-10-13-14-16 european champion and 2011 worldchampion. On my bucketlist, I would like to score some more great results, but my main goal is getting better and having fun!
